Who runs LifeScore
LifeScore (lifescoretest.com) is an online IQ and personality testing site, published under the name LifeScore Intelligence Systems and operated by TripMemo LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom, as our privacy policy states.
The articles and reference pages are written and edited by the LifeScore Editorial Team. They are writers and editors, not clinicians, and every page cites its sources. Read how we work in the editorial policy and how scores are built in the methodology. See About LifeScore for the short version.
What LifeScore offers
- 25 visual reasoning puzzles in about 12 minutes, with no sign-up to start. It gives an estimate on the standard scale, not a clinical assessment. Seeing the score and full report is a paid unlock.
- One page per IQ score with its percentile and rarity, plus IQ by age, country, profession and college major.
- Estimated IQs of historical figures and fictional characters, each with a range and the basis for the estimate. None of these people took a modern IQ test.
- IQ scores of current AI models from TrackingAI.org, with a tool to compare your own IQ.
- One new matrix puzzle a day, the same for everyone.

AI models and IQ
Scores are TrackingAI.org's, by Maxim Lott, as of 1 October 2026. We rank by the private test, which no model has seen before.
- 133
- Top private-test score (GPT 6 Astra Ultra)
- 148
- Top public-test score (GPT 6 Astra Ultra)
- 98%
- Of people score below the top private result
- 17
- Current models ranked
- On the private test, GPT 6 Astra Ultra (OpenAI) leads with 133, higher than about 98% of people on the standard IQ scale (mean 100, standard deviation 15).
- On the public Mensa Norway test, GPT 6 Astra Ultra averages 148. That test's scale tops out at 151, and the private test's at about 136.
- The best single run on the public test rose from about 100 in 2024 Q2 to the 151 maximum by 2026.
- AI IQ is not the same as human IQ: the puzzles match, but models have no time limit and the conversion is a simple mapping rather than a normed test.

The age at which each ability peaks
From Hartshorne and Germine (2015), who combined online tests from 48,537 people with published norms, and Salthouse (2009). Full write-up: At what age is IQ highest?
| Ability | Typical peak | Range in studies |
|---|---|---|
| Processing speed | About 19 | 17 to 22 |
| Fluid reasoning | About 25 | 22 to 27 |
| Working memory | About 30 | 25 to 35 |
| Reading emotions in faces | About 50 | 40 to 60 |
| Vocabulary and knowledge | About 66 | 50 to 72 |
- There is no single peak. Processing speed peaks around 18 to 19, fluid reasoning in the early to mid 20s, working memory around 30 and vocabulary in the late 60s.
- Raw abilities change with age, but an IQ score compares you only with people your own age, so it stays fairly stable for life.
- In the Lothian Birth Cohort, scores at age 11 and age 90 correlated at 0.54 (Deary, Pattie and Starr, 2013).

How IQ scores are spread
Deviation IQ, with a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 15, the scale most modern tests use.
| Score or range | What it means |
|---|---|
| 85 to 115 | About 68% of people |
| 70 to 130 | About 95% of people |
| 130 | 98th percentile, about 1 in 44 |
| 145 | 99.9th percentile, about 1 in 750 |
- Mensa admits people at or above the 98th percentile on an approved, supervised test, which is about 130 on a scale with a standard deviation of 15.
- Every score from 55 to 200 has its own page with its percentile and rarity in our IQ score reference.
