Rough estimate from your share of correct answers, weighted the way the AFQT is (word knowledge and paragraph comprehension count double). The Department of Defense scores each real test form against its own tables, so your official percentile can differ by several points either way. Take the timed practice test

How the AFQT is worked out

The AFQT is 2 × Verbal Expression + Arithmetic Reasoning + Mathematics Knowledge, where Verbal Expression combines Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension. So the two verbal subjects carry half the weight.

The Department of Defense turns your scores into a percentile with tables that change by test form, and those tables are not public. This calculator takes your weighted share of correct answers and maps it to a percentile with a smooth curve anchored so that roughly 58% correct is the 50th percentile. It is an estimate, usually within several points, never an official result.
