Capgemini's aptitude test covers three skills. Practise them on a clock
Capgemini India tells candidates plainly: logical reasoning, verbal ability and quantitative skills, then a technical or coding step. Candidate reports add game-based sections and a proctored English test. Here is what is stated, what is reported and how to cover both.

How close is this practice test to the Capgemini test?
Capgemini India's own recruitment page says its aptitude test covers logical reasoning, verbal ability and quantitative skills. The CCAT practice test mixes verbal, math and logic questions against a hard clock, which trains the same three skills.
Capgemini's tests also include technical or coding assessments, proctored language assessments and, in prep reports, game-based and pseudo-code sections. Capgemini UK's graduate route described on its site starts with a digital interview and an assessment centre rather than a reasoning test. A CCAT-style practice test does not apply there.
It is a CCAT-style test: 50 original questions in 15 minutes. Check the test name in your invitation email before you decide how to prepare.

The Capgemini stages, and who says so
Every stage is marked by its source. Stated means the employer says it on its own pages. Candidates report means we found it only in candidate accounts and prep guides.

What Capgemini India says
Capgemini's India recruitment page says the aptitude test covers logical reasoning, verbal ability and quantitative skills, that a coding or technical assessment follows, and that a group discussion is used for some roles. It also says proctored online technical and language assessments can appear at the screening stage, where applicable.
Everything else about counts, timers and cut-offs is reported rather than stated. One guide claims every section has a cut-off above 70 percent; others do not mention a cut-off. We have not repeated the figure.
The three skills, practised the same way
Logical reasoning, verbal ability and quantitative skills are all skills that respond to timed repetition. The CCAT practice test has verbal, math and logic items on a harder clock than any reported Capgemini section, so a few full runs will make the real thing feel roomy.
After each run, sort your misses into the three buckets. Most people have one bucket that costs twice as much as the others. Spend a week on that one, then retest.
The game-based part
Several prep sources describe a game-based aptitude test with four games out of a pool, taking 20 to 24 minutes, and name the games as deductive logic, inductive logic, a grid challenge and a motion challenge. Others describe the same part as gamified quantitative aptitude. We cannot settle which, and Capgemini does not describe it on the page we read.
What does hold across descriptions is that these are short, timed, logic-flavoured tasks, and that you cannot revise facts for them. The best preparation is the generic one: be rested, take the practice rounds offered inside the platform, and read the on-screen rules fully before the timer starts.
English and code are separate preparation
Capgemini mentions proctored language assessments, and guides describe grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension and sentence-ordering questions in a 30-minute English test. A reasoning test does not train that. Read a short passage, summarise it in a sentence, and do sentence-ordering drills for a few evenings.
The technical side reportedly includes pseudo-code and multiple-choice technical questions, and Capgemini confirms a coding or technical assessment. Practise tracing short programs by hand, and solve a handful of easy coding problems in your preferred language under a timer.
If you are applying in the UK
Capgemini UK's graduate pages for Invent describe an online application, a digital interview where you answer questions on camera, then an assessment centre. Mock digital interview practice is offered beforehand. That is a different process from the India fresher route, and a reasoning test is not named in it.
If you are in this group, spend your preparation time on the mock digital interview and on case-style thinking, not on aptitude drills.
Only trust invitations from Capgemini's system
Capgemini India states that interview invitations come only through its own recruitment system, often with Microsoft Teams links, and that it uses no other platform for interviews. The page carries a recruitment fraud alert. If someone contacts you from a personal email, a messaging app or any other platform and asks for money, do not engage.

Tips for the Capgemini assessment
- 01
Find out which route you are in
India fresher aptitude and UK Invent graduate processes are different. - 02
Bucket your misses
Sort practice errors into logical, verbal and quantitative, then work the worst bucket. - 03
Rehearse on a harder clock
The CCAT gives 18 seconds a question, which is stricter than reported Capgemini sections. - 04
Read game rules before the timer starts
Short timed games punish a rushed first glance. - 05
Practise the English test separately
Grammar, comprehension and sentence-ordering are not covered by a reasoning test. - 06
Check proctoring requirements
Capgemini mentions proctored online assessments. Test your camera and connection first. - 07
Verify every invitation
Capgemini says interview invitations arrive only through its recruitment system.
What candidates and prep sites report
These come from anonymous reviews, university careers pages and prep guides. They often disagree, and Capgemini has not confirmed them. Read them as leads, not rules.
- Most guides describe the online test as four parts: pseudocode or technical multiple-choice questions, an English communication test, a game-based aptitude test and a behavioural assessment.
- One guide says the game-based test has 4 games out of 24, taking 20 to 24 minutes; another names Deductive Logic, Inductive Logic, Grid Challenge and Motion Challenge.
- The English section is described as 30 questions in 30 minutes covering grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, voice and jumbled sentences.
- One guide says each section is an elimination round with a cut-off above 70 percent. Others do not mention a cut-off, and Capgemini does not publish one.
