Infosys publishes a sample fresher test. Here is what its 100 minutes contain, and what it does not tell you
Infosys is one of the few Indian IT employers to publish a sample paper. It is a 100-minute test with a reasoning section, a verbal section and a separately timed 10-minute pseudocode section, one mark per question. It is titled as a systems engineer sample, so treat it as a guide to shape.

How close is this practice test to the Infosys test?
Infosys publishes a sample fresher test with a reasoning section (data interpretation and data sufficiency), a verbal section (critical reasoning) and a pseudocode section. Our reasoning test covers data interpretation and passage-based verbal questions, and the CCAT practice test adds logic.
The published sample is titled as a systems engineer paper, so the live test for your role may differ. Our tests do not include data sufficiency or pseudocode, and the live test conditions, such as proctoring and no calculator, are described in Infosys's certification guidelines, which may not apply to campus drives.
It is a Reasoning-style test: 50 original questions in 45 minutes. Check the test name in your invitation email before you decide how to prepare.

The Infosys stages, and who says so
Every stage is marked by its source. Stated means the employer says it on its own pages. Candidates report means we found it only in candidate accounts and prep guides.

A sample that comes from the employer
Most prep material for Indian IT hiring comes from coaching sites and recalled questions. Infosys is different: it hosts a sample fresher recruitment test paper itself. The paper is a 100-minute test with three kinds of content, and each question carries one mark unless stated otherwise.
It is titled for the systems engineer role, which is a caution. Other roles may use different papers. Even so, a sample written by the employer is better evidence of structure than anything recalled by candidates.
Reasoning, data sufficiency and critical reasoning
The reasoning section in the sample covers data interpretation and data sufficiency. Data interpretation means reading tables and charts. Data sufficiency asks whether the information given is enough to answer a question, without necessarily answering it. The verbal section is critical reasoning: judging arguments and conclusions.
Our reasoning test covers data interpretation and passage-based questions. For the data sufficiency habit, try this on any table question: before calculating, ask whether the table contains the numbers you need. For verbal practice, verbal reasoning questions shows how to answer only from the text.
Ten minutes of pseudocode
The pseudocode section is timed separately at ten minutes. Pseudocode questions show a short, language-neutral program and ask what it outputs or what a variable holds at a given point. They are tests of reading code, not writing it.
Practise by tracing a loop by hand on paper: write the variables in a column and update them line by line. Ten minutes is short, so accuracy under a clock, not speed of typing, is the skill.
Proctoring rules, and which ones apply to you
Infosys's certification guidelines say tests are web-proctored and online, that candidates are disqualified if another person appears on video, and that phone use is restricted to mobile hotspot or tethering. Calculators are not allowed, and a laptop or desktop is recommended over a mobile.
Those guidelines are for the Infosys certification exam. A campus drive may be run differently, so read your own drive notice, then rehearse under the strictest rules you might face: no calculator, no second person in view, and a stable connection.
InfyTQ, the coding contest and what we could not confirm
InfyTQ is the platform through which students register for Infosys programmes and assessments, and it describes its certification as industry-valued with priority placement. HackWithInfy is a coding contest hosted on the Infosys assessment platform, whose first round is an individual online test. The only page we found was from 2022.
We did not find current published details on the number of rounds, cut-offs or registration timeline. Check the InfyTQ site and your college placement office. Our guide to IT services hiring tests in India compares Infosys with TCS, HCLTech and others.

Checked October 2026, through search summaries of Infosys's own documents. We did not read them in full. We found no current published cut-off, number of rounds or registration timeline, the sample is titled for one role, and the proctoring rules come from certification guidelines that may not apply to campus drives, so we could not verify those for yours.
