Schroders gives candidates a feedback report after each online stage in the US. The UK tests use Aon
Schroders runs a different online sequence in each region. The UK page names three Aon tests: a gamified situational judgement test, a deductive-logical thinking test and a personality questionnaire. The US page lists three timed stages and promises feedback after each. Check which applies to you.

How close is this practice test to the Schroders test?
Schroders' UK page names three Aon tests: a gamified situational judgement test, a deductive-logical thinking test and a personality questionnaire. Its US page describes a cognitive test of numerical, critical and diagrammatic reasoning. Our reasoning test covers numerical and verbal reasoning, and the CCAT practice test covers deduction.
Schroders does not publish question counts for the UK tests, and the US cognitive stage includes diagrammatic reasoning that our test does not. The gamified judgement test and the personality questionnaire cannot be rehearsed with tables and passages. Region decides the mix.
It is a Reasoning-style test: 50 original questions in 45 minutes. Check the test name in your invitation email before you decide how to prepare.

The Schroders stages, and who says so
Every stage is marked by its source. Stated means the employer says it on its own pages. Candidates report means we found it only in candidate accounts and prep guides.

Start with your region's page
Schroders publishes separate graduate pages for its UK, US and Asia Pacific markets, and the online assessments differ among them. The UK page names Aon as the test provider and lists three tests. The US page lists three timed stages with a feedback report for each. The Singapore page describes a single test of about 40 minutes.
Before you prepare, find your page and your job description. Applications open around August or September each year, and the UK page says Schroders recruits on a rolling basis, so earlier applicants are assessed earlier.
Deductive-logical thinking, the UK test to rehearse
Of the three UK tests, only the deductive-logical thinking test has a clear drill. Deductive logic gives you a set of rules or statements and asks what must be true. The skill is reasoning from what is given without importing outside assumptions.
Our verbal reasoning questions train the same discipline with passages, and the CCAT practice test adds deduction and number logic. Read verbal reasoning questions for the method of finding the deciding sentence.
A gamified judgement test and a personality questionnaire
The gamified situational judgement test turns workplace scenarios into game-like tasks. The personality questionnaire asks how you typically behave. Neither is something you can study for in the usual way, and trying to game them can backfire.
Prepare by resting and by reading about Schroders' work and culture so the scenarios make sense. Answer as you would act on a normal working day.
The US staged version, with feedback after each step
On the US page, stage one is a cognitive test of numerical, critical and diagrammatic reasoning that takes around 20 minutes. Stage two is a motivation and behavioural questionnaire of about 20 minutes. Stage three is workplace scenarios plus a recorded video answer, about 30 minutes. Stages one and two are untimed, and candidates receive a bespoke feedback report after each, usually within 24 hours.
That feedback is rare. Read each report before the next stage and think about how you would describe the same strengths in an interview. If you need adjustments for stage three, Schroders asks you to contact its early careers team as early as possible.
Singapore, the one-session rule and the 2:1 change
The Singapore and Asia Pacific page describes an online test of about 40 minutes that must be completed in one session, because responses cannot be saved and returned to. It suggests drafting free-text answers in a Word document first and pasting them in.
Schroders has also published a piece explaining why it removed the 2:1 requirement from its early careers recruitment policy. In the UK, final-year students and recent graduates can apply, and re-applying the following year is allowed if you are unsuccessful. Checked October 2026, through search summaries of Schroders' own pages. We did not read them in full. The pages differ by region and the summaries gave no question counts for the UK tests, no pass mark and no detail of the gamified test, so we could not verify those.
